Email & Consent Policy

How addresses enter our system

Addresses are collected through forms controlled by Secret Home Watch or a clearly identified partner form that uses equivalent consent language. We do not purchase, rent, scrape, harvest or append email addresses.

Double opt-in

After form submission, we send a confirmation message. The address remains pending and does not receive normal marketing campaigns until the confirmation link is clicked. We record the signup and confirmation timestamps and related technical data for accountability and abuse prevention.

What subscribers receive

Subscribers may receive homeowner education, seasonal reminders, publication updates and occasional relevant promotional content. Expected frequency is generally two to four messages per month, though it may vary. We do not use misleading sender names, subjects or content.

Identification

Marketing messages identify Secret Home Watch, include accurate sender information, provide a valid reply/contact channel and display our physical postal address.

Unsubscribe and suppression

Every marketing message includes a clear unsubscribe mechanism. Requests are processed promptly and suppression records are maintained so opted-out addresses are not included in future marketing sends. We do not charge a fee or require account login to unsubscribe.

Bounces and complaints

We monitor delivery events. Hard-bouncing addresses and complaint-generating recipients are suppressed. We use Amazon SES notifications, configuration sets, account-level suppression and/or equivalent controls when enabled. We review reputation metrics and investigate unexpected increases before continuing campaigns.

List hygiene and sending practices

We validate form syntax, use confirmation to reduce incorrect addresses, remove or suppress invalid recipients, avoid sudden unexplained volume spikes and send only content consistent with the signup description. We do not share a subscriber list with unrelated marketers for their independent use.

Report unwanted or suspicious mail claiming to be from us at support@secrethomewatch.com. Include message headers where possible.
